TL;DR: In this article, the authors summarized current knowledge about these interactions occurring south of 47°S in the industrial fleet and concluded that interactions occur predominantly with the orca and in a lower extent with the sperm whale, after the modification of the fishing gear that diminished the depredation of the sperm whales.

Interaction between the patagonian toothfish fishery, Dissostichus eleginoides (Nototheniidae), with the sperm whale and killer whale off southern Chile: review of the knowledge status
TL;DR: Not one solution but a complex mix of actions must be coordinated effectively between the fishing operators, researchers, fishery engineers and State Public Institutions in order to diminish these interactions with cetaceans in the Southern Ocean.
