Critical Reflection in Music Teacher Education: Contradictions and Dilemmas in Theory, Policy, and Practice
TL;DR: Critical reflection in music teacher education involves challenges and possibilities for fostering preservice teachers’ agency and democratic capacities in line with recent policy reforms. The article explores different understandings of critical reflection and suggests that enduring discomfort is beneficial for student agency and critical reflection.
