Characterization of the interactions of rabbit neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) with rabbit and human IgG isotypes.
TL;DR: Rabbit is an appropriate animal model for analyzing the pharmacokinetics of human therapeutic monoclonal antibodies and the similar affinity of rabbit IgG and human IgG1 for rabbit FcRn was confirmed by in vitro FcN receptor recycling assay.
Overexpression of Bovine FcRn in Mice Enhances T-Dependent Immune Responses by Amplifying T Helper Cell Frequency and Germinal Center Enlargement in the Spleen.
Zita Schneider,Péter K. Jani,Bence Szikora,Attila Gergely Végh,Dorottya Kövesdi,Attila Iliás,Judit Cervenak,Péter Balogh,István Kurucz,Imre Kacskovics +9 more
TL;DR: The in vivo impact of the bFcRn overexpression in the spleen on the course of antibody production was demonstrated and it was demonstrated that these Tg mice developed efficient immune response against very low dose of antigen, reflecting another important practical benefit of these TG mice.
FcRn Overexpression Expands Diversity of the Humoral Immune Response in bFcRn Transgenic Mice.
Bence Szikora,Anita Marx,Péter K. Jani,Orsolya Pipek,Viktor Müller,István Csabai,Imre Kacskovics +6 more
TL;DR: The BCR repertoire of the immunized bFcRn Tg animals is more diverse compared to wild type mice, which likely makes these Tg mice a better choice for monoclonal antibody production against challenging antigens, including the extracellular regions of cell membrane proteins.
Measuring peroxidasin activity in live cells using bromide addition for signal amplification
Veronika F.S. Pape,Hajnal A. Kovács,Istvan Szatmari,I. Ugrai,Bence Szikora,Imre Kacskovics,Zoltán May,Norbert Szoboszlai,Gábor Sirokmány,Miklós Geiszt +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors reported the measurement of PXDN activity in live cells using the Amplex Red assay with a signal amplifying modification, and they observed that bromide addition enhances the obtained signal, most likely due to formation of HOBr.

Creation of the first monoclonal antibody recognizing an extracellular epitope of hABCC6
Eszter Kozák,Eszter Kozák,Bence Szikora,Attila Iliás,Péter K. Jani,Zoltán Hegyi,Zsolt Matula,Dóra Dedinszki,Natália Tőkési,Krisztina Fülöp,Viola Pomozi,György Várady,Éva Bakos,Gábor E. Tusnády,Imre Kacskovics,András Váradi +15 more
TL;DR: Mutations in the ABCC6 gene result in calcification diseases such as pseudoxanthoma elasticum or Generalized Arterial Calcification of Infancy and a monoclonal antibody recognizing an EC epitope of hABCC6 is obtained that is named mEChC6.
