Folylpoly-gamma-glutamate synthesis by bacteria and mammalian cells.
TL;DR: The purification and properties of folylpolyglutamate synthetase from Corynebacterium sp, and some properties of partially purified enzyme from Lactobacillus casei, Streptococcus faecalis, Neurospora crassa, pig liver, and Chinese hamster ovary cells are described.

Separation and identification of pteroylpolyglutamates by polyacrylamide gel chromatography.
TL;DR: A simplified procedure for the determination of the glutamate chain lengths of labeled and endogenous tissue folate is described and the major endogenous pteroylpolyglutamate in rat liver, identified colorimetrically using 0,5 g tissue, was the pentaglutamate.

Cleavage of naturally occurring folates to unsubstituted p-aminobenzoylpoly-γ-glutamates
TL;DR: The described method allows the quantitative conversion of folates to a homologous series of unsubstituted p -aminobenzoylpoly-γ-glutamates, which can be separated by ion-exchange chromatography, or by gel chromatography following derivatization.

The Interrelationships among Folate, Vitamin B12, and Methionine Metabolism
Barry Shane,E.L.Robert Stokstad +1 more
TL;DR: The interrelationship between vitamin B12 and folate metabolism in man is best illustrated by the hematologically indistinguishable, macrocytic megaloblastic anemia resulting from a deficiency of either vitamin.

Radiometric--microbiologic assay of vitamin B-6: application to food analysis.
TL;DR: The study showed that the new radiometric-microbiologic method can be used to measure total vitamin B-6 or, combined with a column separation procedure, to analyze for specific forms of the vitamin.
