Essential oil-loaded lipid nanoparticles for wound healing.
Francesca Saporito,Giuseppina Sandri,Maria Cristina Bonferoni,Silvia Rossi,Cinzia Boselli,Antonia Icaro Cornaglia,Barbara Mannucci,Pietro Grisoli,Barbara Vigani,Franca Ferrari +9 more
TL;DR: Olive oil, which is characterized by a high content of oleic acid, proved to exert a synergic effect with eucalyptus oil with respect to antimicrobial activity and wound repair promotion, which evidenced the capability of these NLC to enhance the healing process.

Photosynthetic microbial fuel cell with polybenzimidazole membrane: synergy between bacteria and algae for wastewater removal and biorefinery.
Simone Angioni,Luca Millia,Piercarlo Mustarelli,Enrico Doria,Marta Elisabetta Eleonora Temporiti,Barbara Mannucci,Federica Corana,Eliana Quartarone +7 more
TL;DR: The use of PBI was proved to be very promising, even more convenient than Nafion™ in terms of energy performances as well as cost and sustainability, and allowing a re-use of the separator with a consequent beneficial cost effect.

Quick development of an analytical enantioselective high performance liquid chromatography separation and preparative scale-up for the flavonoid Naringenin.
TL;DR: The developed preparative method proved to be superior to previously published methods in terms of elution times, separation and resolution and is suitable for obtaining a quick access to the desired enantiomers with high enantiomeric excess and amounts sufficient for biological investigations.

g-C3N4 - Singlet Oxygen Made Easy for Organic Synthesis: Scope and Limitations
Irene Camussi,Barbara Mannucci,Andrea Speltini,Antonella Profumo,Chiara Milanese,Lorenzo Malavasi,Paolo Quadrelli +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the ability of oxidized g-C3N4 catalysts to promote chemoselective and unselective oxidative processes in strong dependence from the substrates was investigated.

Resveratrol analogue 4,4′-dihydroxy- trans -stilbene potently inhibits cancer invasion and metastasis
Monica Savio,Daniela Ferraro,Cristina Maccario,Rita Vaccarone,Lasse Jensen,Lasse Jensen,Federica Corana,Barbara Mannucci,Livia Bianchi,Yihai Cao,Lucia Anna Stivala +10 more
TL;DR: The in vitro results showed that DHS displays potent inhibition on anchorage-dependent or -independent cell growth of LLC cells, leading to impairment of the cell cycle progression with reduction of cell numbers arresting at the G1 phase, an evident accumulation of pre-G1 events correlated with apoptotic behaviour.
