Monotone paths in edge-ordered sparse graphs
TL;DR: Borders on α ( G) are given for various families of sparse graphs, including trees, planar graphs and graphs with bounded arboricity.

Practical aspects and experiences: Timing analysis of a parallel algorithm for Toeplitz matrices on a MIMD parallel machine
Israel Gohberg,I. Koltracht,Amir Averbuch,Barack Shoham +3 more
- 01 Jul 1991
TL;DR: A modified version of the parallel Levinson-type algorithm for Toeplitz matrices is presented to improve performance and the speedup limitation is investigated along with the optimal number of processors needed to a given ToePlitz matrix.

Timing Analysis of a Parallel Algorithm for Toeplitz Matrices on a MIMD Parallel Machine.
Israel Gohberg,I. Koltracht,Amir Averbuch,Barack Shoham +3 more
- 01 Jan 1991
TL;DR: In this article, a parallel Levinson-type algorithm for Toeplitz matrices is presented, which is implemented on a shared-memory MIMD (non-vector) machine.

On broadcasting multiple messages in a d -dimensional grid
Yehuda Roditty,Barack Shoham +1 more
TL;DR: This paper answers a conjecture that appears in Van Scoy and Brookes (1994), namely, that the time required for broadcasting m messages over this d-dimensional grid is dn + ( (d 2 + 1) d )m + k , k being a constant.

Efficient line broadcasting in a d -dimensional grid
TL;DR: The results of Fujita and Farley's extension of on line broadcasting in paths and cycles are extended into a d-dimensional grid, obtaining optimal algorithms in most cases.
