The flame retardant polyacrylate emulsion is composed of the following components by weight percent: 30.0-45.0% of an acrylate monomer, 1.0-6.0% of a reaction type flame retardant monomer, 0.5-3.0% of an emulgator OP, 0.5-1.0% of an initiator, 35.0-65.0% of deionized water and 2.0-11.0% of an antimony compound. The preparation method comprises the following steps: pre-emulsifying the reaction flame retardant monomer and the acrylate monomer, then carrying out emulsion seeding polymerization, dropwise adding remanent pre-emulsifying solution and the initiator after the seeding polymerization is completed, controlling the temperature to 78-85 DEG C for reacting for 5-8h, raising the temperature to 90-95 DEG C for curing for 30-60min, cooling, filtering, and adding the antimony compound for uniformly stirring to obtain the flame retardant polyacrylate emulsion. The usage amount of a fire retardant of the flame retardant polyacrylate emulsion is 3-17%, and the flame retardant polyacrylate emulsion achieves flame retardant V-0 level or V-1 level.
