A new model to predict ground surface settlement induced by jacked pipes with flanges
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a ground surface settlement model for a single jacked pipe using the Mindlin's solution and the Stochastic medium theory to estimate the ground deformation induced by pipe jacking.

Risk Analysis of the Opening of Shield-Tunnel Circumferential Joints Induced by Adjacent Deep Excavation
TL;DR: In this article, differential settlement and additional stresses in existing tunnels occur frequently due to excavation constrains, which may adversely affect the underlying tunnels, and the authors suggest that deep excavation projects in urban areas might adversely affect underlying tunnels.

The application of compressive sampling in rapid ultrasonic computerized tomography (UCT) technique of steel tube slab (STS).
TL;DR: Both the numerical and experimental results show the rapid UCT technique has the capability of damage detection in an STS structure with a high level of accuracy and with fewer required measurements, which is more convenient and efficient than the traditional U CT technique.
Calculating Jacking Forces for Circular Pipes with Welding Flange Slabs from a Combined Theory and Case Study
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a combined theoretical and case study to calculate the increase of jacking forces for circular steel pipes with welded flange slabs during the entire jacking process.
