A Review on Nanocomposites. Part 1: Mechanical Properties
TL;DR: In this paper, a comprehensive review on mechanical properties of various nanocomposites is presented while the second part of the paper will focus on the micro-machinability of these materials.
Micro-end-milling of carbon nanotube reinforced epoxy nanocomposites manufactured using three roll mill technique
Bao Le,Arnaud Kernin,Jibran Khaliq,Guoyu Fu,Dehong Huo,Emiliano Bilotti,Han Zhang,Islam Shyha,Islam Shyha +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the machinability of nanocomposites is investigated in terms of chip formation, cutting force, tool wear, surface morphology and surface roughness, and three controlled quantitative factors are investigated at different levels, including filler loading, cutting speed and feed per tooth (FPT).

Micro-Machining of Nano-Polymer Composites Reinforced with Graphene and Nano-Clay Fillers
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of feed rate and cutting speed on the surface roughness of a micro-slotting of two different nanocomposites reinforced with graphene platelets and nanoclay fillers as opposed to their base material matrix was evaluated.

An experimental investigation on tool wear behaviour of uncoated and coated micro-tools in micro-milling of graphene-reinforced polymer nanocomposites
TL;DR: In this article, the machinability of polymer nanocomposites in micro-scale (micro-machinability) is investigated and the results indicate that the DLC-coated tool shows better performance than the other tools for less tool wear, improved surface quality and less cutting forces.
