Xiaoqiang Wang,Bang Liu,Fangli Xu,Bowei Long,Siliang Tang,Lingfei Wu +5 more
- 05 Mar 2022
TL;DR: It is argued that a deep understanding of model capabilities and data properties can help us feed a model with appropriate training data based on its learning status, and designed an MRC capability assessment framework that assesses model capabilities in an explainable and multi-dimensional manner.
SkillQG: Learning to Generate Question for Reading Comprehension Assessment
TL;DR: Li et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed a question generation framework with controllable comprehension types for assessing and improving machine reading comprehension models, which is able to tailor a fine-grained assessment and improvement to the capabilities of question answering models built on it.

QRelScore: Better Evaluating Generated Questions with Deeper Understanding of Context-aware Relevance
Xiaoqiang Wang,Bang Liu,Siliang Tang,Lingfei Wu +3 more
- 29 Apr 2022
TL;DR: QRelScore is proposed, a context-aware evaluation metric for question generation that combines word-level hierarchical matching and sentence-level prompt-based generation to cope with the complicated reasoning and di-verse generation from multiple evidences, respectively.
MatSci-NLP: Evaluating Scientific Language Models on Materials Science Language Tasks Using Text-to-Schema Modeling
Yurun Song,Santiago Miret,Bang Liu +2 more
- 14 May 2023
TL;DR: The MatSci-NLP benchmark as discussed by the authors is a natural language benchmark for evaluating the performance of natural language processing (NLP) models on materials science text, which consists of seven different NLP tasks.
