Comparative genome analyses of novel Mangrovimonas-like strains isolated from estuarine mangrove sediments reveal xylan and arabinan utilization genes.
Balachandra Dinesh,Nyok-Sean Lau,Go Furusawa,Seok-Won Kim,Todd D. Taylor,Swee Yeok Foong,Alexander Chong Shu-Chien +6 more
TL;DR: Three Mangrovimonas-like strains isolated from estuarine mangrove sediments in Perak, Malaysia show capability to degrade xylan using qualitative plate assay method and carbohydrate metabolism genes were not found in the genome sequence of M. yunxiaonensis LY01.

Mangrovimonas xylaniphaga sp. nov. isolated from estuarine mangrove sediment of Matang Mangrove Forest, Malaysia.
TL;DR: Phenotypic, fatty acid, 16S rRNA gene sequence and previous genome data indicate that strain ST2L12T represents a novel species of the genus Mangrovimonas in the family Flavobacteriaceae, for which the name Mangrovamonas xylaniphaga sp.
