Wisdom of the crowd and stock price crash risk: evidence from social media
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the impact of social media on future stock price crash risk and found that the proportion of informed tweets on Twitter is higher than the total number of tweets, suggesting that informed tweets can disseminate information and limit managers' ability to hoard bad news.
