Electromagnetic heating for adhesive melting in CFRTP joining: study, analysis, and testing
Luigi Nele,B. Palmieri +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of electromagnetic induction heating in adhesive bonding of thermoplastic matrix composite materials, when a hot-melt Prodas is used, has been investigated.

PVB Nanocomposites as Energy Directors in Ultrasonic Welding of Epoxy Composites
Fabrizia Cilento,Alessio Bassano,Luigi Sorrentino,Alfonso Martone,Michele Giordano,B. Palmieri +5 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the possibility of using polyvinyl-butyral (PVB) reinforced with graphite nanoplatelets (GNPs) as a coupling layer in the ultrasonic welding of TSC adherents.
Influence of Catalyst Content and Epoxy/Carboxylate Ratio on Isothermal Creep of Epoxy Vitrimers
B. Palmieri,Fabrizia Cilento,Eugenio Amendola,Teodoro Valente,Stefania Dello Iacono,Michele Giordano,Alfonso Martone +6 more
TL;DR: The isothermal creep behavior of epoxy vitrimers is influenced by the catalyst content and epoxy/carboxylate ratio. Increasing the catalyst content and decreasing the epoxy/carboxylate ratio increases the molecular mobility above the vitrimeric temperature.

Mechanical and Viscoelastic Properties of Carbon Fibre Epoxy Composites with Interleaved Graphite Nanoplatelet Layer
B. Palmieri,Ciro Siviello,Angelo Petriccione,Michele Giordano,Alfonso Martone,Fabrizia Cilento +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the effect of a nanostructured interlayer based on graphite nanoplatelets (GNPs) on the damping capacity and fracture toughness of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) laminates has been investigated.
