An ac method for the precise measurement of Q-factor and resonance frequency of a microwave cavity
TL;DR: In this article, a new and fast method for the determination of the complex frequency shift of a microwave resonant cavity was developed based on frequency modulation of the microwave source around the cavity resonance and detection of the 2nd and 4th harmonic of the modulation frequency.

Flux-pinning effects in field-modulated microwave absorption of YBa2Cu3O7−δ thin films
TL;DR: In this paper, the shape of the field-modulated microwave-absorption signal in the mixed state of type-II superconductors reveals the field dependence of the fluxpinning parameters.

Comparative investigation of intrinsic Josephson contacts in HTC superconductors by modulated microwave absorption measurements
TL;DR: In this article, a quantitative analysis of the temperature dependence of modulated microwave absorption measurements in a sputtered film, a single crystal and a ceramic sample reveals two different types of intrinsic Josephson contacts.

Origin of discrete microwave absorption lines in YBa2Cu3O7−x single crystals
TL;DR: In this paper, the phase of field modulated discrete microwave absorption lines depends on whether flux creeps into or out of the sample, i.e. on the sense of the boundary current.

Dynamics of flux lines studied by modulated microwave absorption
TL;DR: In this paper, a coupled differential equation of motion of a flux line in the pinning potential is obtained under the condition of a swept de field, modulation field, and microwave field, which can explain the hysteresis which is observed when lock-in detected signal is recorded in forward and reverse field sweeps.
