Recent results on the isoscalar spin response in 40Ca and 12C
M. Morlet,Chaden Djalali,Chaden Djalali,E. Tomasi-Gustafsson,A. Willis,J. Van de Wiele,N. Marty,Charles Glashausser,B. N. Johnson,F. T. Baker,L. Bimbot,J. Guillot,F. Jourdan,H. Langevin-Joliot,L. H. Rosier +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a signature S d y of isoscalar spin-transfer strength has been tested in the inelastic scattering of 400 MeV deuterons from 12 C.

Isoscalar spin responses of nuclei
R.J. Peterson,M. D. Holcomb,E. Tomasi-Gustafsson,M. Morlet,Jérôme Guillot,H. Langevin,L. H. Rosier,A. Willis,B. N. Johnson +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the deuteron scattering observables are combined through expressions derived from the plane wave impulse approximation to isolate the nuclear isoscalar spin responses for spin-transverse and spin-longitudinal modes.

POLDER: a tensor polarimeter for intermediate energy deuterons
S. Kox,C. Furget,J. S. Real,L. Bimbot,J.P. Bocquet,M. Garçon,Chaden Djalali,G.W.R. Edwards,Charles Glashausser,B. N. Johnson,M. Morlet,C. Perrin,D. Rebreyend,L. H. Rosier,E. Tomasi-Gustafsson,E. Voutier,A. Willis +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a deuteron tensor polarimeter (POLDER) based on the charge exchange reaction 1 H (→ d, 2p ) n, has been constructed and calibrated in the energy range 175-500 MeV for all polarisation signals.
Isoscalar spin strength in 12C measured in 400 MeV deuteron inelastic scattering.
B. N. Johnson,M. Morlet,C. Djalali,F. T. Baker,L. Bimbot,C. Glashausser,Jérôme Guillot,H. Langevin-Joliot,N. Marty,L. H. Rosier,E. Tomasi-Gustafsson,Van de Wiele J,A. Willis +12 more
TL;DR: The isoscalar spin strength in C has been studied in the inelastic scattering of polarized 400 MeV deuterons and previously unknown spin excitations were found in the 20-MeV region and over a broad range in the continuum with a cluster of strength around 30 MeV.
