TL;DR: In this paper, the radiation hardness of low gain avalanche detector (LGAD) developed by the Novel Device Laboratory (NDL) in Beijing and the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) of Chinese Academy of Sciences, in the context of an upgrade project of the ATLAS detector for the high luminosity phase of LHC was studied.

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of more than four thousands Electromagnetic particle Detectors (EDs) is summarized with the design requirements with the time resolution of 1.6 nns, the detection efficiency of 97.8%, charge resolution for single particle of 18.5% and count rate around 480 Hz.
