Species-specific aggregation factor in sponges vi. aggregation receptor from the cell surface
TL;DR: By competition experiments it could be shown that high concentrations of soluble aggregation receptor molecules inhibit secondary aggregation, which is involved in secondary aggregation processes, which are initiated by a soluble aggregation factor.

Role of the aggregation factor in the regulation of phosphoinositide metabolism in sponges. Possible consequences on calcium efflux and on mitogenesis.

TL;DR: It is concluded that inositol trisphosphate and protein kinase C also play a fundamental role in cellular signal transduction in lower eukaryotes.

Attachment of sponge cells to collagen substrata: effect of a collagen assembly factor.
TL;DR: Collagen from the sponge Chondrosia reniformis, even in the presence of Geodia CAF, was no appropriate substrate for Geodian cell attachment, and whether collagen is a component of cell-matrix interactions in sponge systems also in vivo is discussed.

Aggregation of sponge cells. Function of a lectin in its homologous biological system.
TL;DR: Competition experiments showed that the lectin inactivates the antiaggregation receptor by binding to it, most likely via its terminal galactose residues.
