Hemodynamic Changes and Catecholamine Release During Laparoscopic Adrenalectomy for Pheochromocytoma
Jean Joris,Etienne Hamoir,Gary Hartstein,Meurisse M,B. Hubert,Corinne Charlier,Maurice L. Lamy +6 more
TL;DR: In this study, laparoscopic adrenalectomy was associated with catecholamine release during the creation of pneumoperitoneum and tumor manipulation, and Adjustments of a nicardipine infusion readily attenuated the subsequent hemodynamic aberrancies.

Influence of induction of anaesthesia on intubating conditions one minute after rocuronium administration: comparison of ketamine and thiopentone
TL;DR: It is concluded that ketamine 2.5 ”“mgkg−1 provides better intubating conditions than thiopentone 5 mg kg−1 1 min after administration of rocuronium 0.6”mgkg −1.

Laparoscopic removal of pheochromocytoma Why? When? and Who? (Reflections on one case report)
TL;DR: It is concluded that a laparoscopic approach combined with exclusive intraoperative infusion of nicardipine, a calcium-channel blocker, can be used to surgically remove pheochromocytoma under stable hemodynamic conditions and provides better exposure of the anatomical structures than open surgery.

Impact of 6 % hydroxyethyl starch (HES) 130/0.4 on the correlation between standard laboratory tests and thromboelastography (TEG®) after cardiopulmonary bypass
TL;DR: HES significantly changes the cutoff value of TEG® MA best identifying patients with a low platelet count or a low fibrinogen level after CPB, and the type of fluid used significantly affected the MA, the K time and alpha angle.
