ITER plasma-facing components
Mario Merola,D. Loesser,A. Martin,P. Chappuis,R. Mitteau,V. Komarov,R.A. Pitts,S. Gicquel,V.R. Barabash,L. Giancarli,J. Palmer,Masataka Nakahira,A. Loarte,David Campbell,R. Eaton,A.S. Kukushkin,Masayoshi Sugihara,Fu Zhang,C.S. Kim,R. Raffray,L. Ferrand,D. Yao,S. Sadakov,A. Furmanek,V. Rozov,T. Hirai,Frederic Escourbiac,T. Jokinen,B. Calcagno,S. Mori +29 more
TL;DR: The ITER plasma-facing components directly face the thermonuclear plasma and include the divertor, the blanket and the test blanket modules with their corresponding frames as discussed by the authors, which provides a physical boundary for the plasma transients and contributes to the thermal and nuclear shielding of the vacuum vessel and external machine components.

The ITER blanket system design challenge
A.R. Raffray,B. Calcagno,P. Chappuis,Zhang Fu,A. Furmanek,Chen Jiming,Duck-Hoi Kim,S. Khomiakov,A. Labusov,A. Martin,Mario Merola,R. Mitteau,S. Sadakov,M.A. Ulrickson,F. Zacchia +14 more
TL;DR: This paper summarizes the latest progress in the ITER blanket system design as it proceeds through its final design phase with the Final Design Review planned for Spring 2013.

The design of the ITER first wall panels
R. Mitteau,B. Calcagno,P. Chappuis,R. Eaton,S. Gicquel,Jiale Chen,A. Labusov,A. Martin,Mario Merola,R. Raffray,M.A. Ulrickson,F. Zacchia +11 more
TL;DR: The ITER blanket is in the final stage of design completion and the issues raised during the 2007 ITER design review about the first wall heat loads and remote handling strategy have been addressed, while integrating the recently confirmed in-vessel coils as discussed by the authors.

Electrical connectors for blanket modules in ITER
I. Poddubnyi,S. Khomiakov,V. Kolganov,S. Sadakov,B. Calcagno,Ph. Chappuis,R. Roccella,R. Raffray,I.V. Danilov,A. Leshukov,Y. Strebkov,M.A. Ulrickson +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared two design options of E-straps: with L-shaped and Z-shaped elastic elements and concluded that the E-strap design in ITER can absorb 3D imposed displacements of blanket modules relative VV in a scale of ± 2mm and at the same time not be damaged by EM loads.

ITER blanket module connectors. Design, analysis and testing for procurement arrangement
S. Khomiakov,I. Poddubnyi,V. Kolganov,A. Zhmakin,E.V. Parshutin,I.V. Danilov,Y. Strebkov,K. Skladnov,D. Vlasov,A. Cheburova,A.N. Romannikov,R. Raffray,K. Egorov,Ph. Chappuis,S. Sadakov,B. Calcagno,R. Roccella +16 more
TL;DR: The effort to develop a reliable and robust design of the BMCs in time for the signature of the Procurement Arrangement on BMCs between ITER Organization and Russian Federation in late 2014 spanned several years, focusing in particular on the more recent PA supporting activities.
