Miscibility gap in electrochemically oxygenated La2CuO4+ delta.
TL;DR: In this paper, the low-temperature lattice parameters of the two coexisting orthorhombic phases (antiferromagnetic, Bmab and superconducting, Fmmm) were found to be in good agreement with those determined for high-pressure annealed samples, indicating that the two techniques yield essentially identical samples, at least in this concentration range.

Defects, defect ordering, structural coherence and superconductivity in the 123 copper oxides
James D. Jorgensen,D. G. Hinks,Paolo G. Radaelli,Paolo G. Radaelli,Shiyou Pei,Philip Lightfoot,Bogdan Dabrowski,Bogdan Dabrowski,Carlo U. Segre,B.A. Hunter +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of oxygen defects and defect ordering on superconductivity in 123 compounds was discussed, and structural coherence in the CuO 2 planes, which is present only if there is orthorhombic symmetry on at least a short length scale, is a requirement for supercondivity in these compounds.

Superconductivity in the Sr-Ca-Cu-O system and the phase with infinite-layer structure
Hagai Shaked,Yuichi Shimakawa,B.A. Hunter,R. L. Hitterman,James D. Jorgensen,P. D. Han,David A. Payne +6 more
TL;DR: It is proposed that the superconductivity in these infinite-layer samples comes from the tetragonal Sr{sub {ital n}+1}Cu{sub ital n}}O{sub 2{ital n]+1+{delta}} compounds, not from the phase with the infinite- layer structure.

Local ordering and charge transfer during room-temperature annealing of quenched tetragonal YBa2Cu3O6.25.
TL;DR: Neutron powder diffraction was used to study the crystallographic structure of a quenched tetragonal sample of YBa[sub 2]Cu[sub 3]O[sub 6.25] during room-temperature annealing and it is found that the lattice parameters decrease with anneal time.

Anomalous behavior of the pressure dependence of lattice constants in Tl2Ba2CuO6+x
Hiroki Takahashi,Hiroki Takahashi,James D. Jorgensen,B.A. Hunter,R. L. Hitterman,Shiyou Pei,Fujio Izumi,Yuichi Shimakawa,Yoshimi Kubo,Takashi Manako +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the crystal structure of Tl 2 Ba 2 CuO 6+ x under high pressure and temperature conditions using neutron powder diffraction and found that the T c at high pressure for this compound depends markedly on whether the sample is pressurized at room temperature or low temperature.
