Direct assessment by electron spin resonance spectroscopy of the antioxidant effects of French maritime pine bark extract in the maxillofacial region of hairless mice
Ayaka Yoshida,Fumihiko Yoshino,Masahito Tsubata,Motoya Ikeguchi,Takeshi Nakamura,Masaichi-Chang-il Lee +5 more
TL;DR: The ability of flavangenol to reduce reactive oxygen species levels in the circulation of the maxillofacial region suggests that this extract may be beneficial for skin protection from exposure to ultraviolet irradiation.

Direct assessments of the antioxidant effects of the novel collagen peptide on reactive oxygen species using electron spin resonance spectroscopy.
Kyo Kobayashi,Yojiro Maehata,Yosuke Kawamura,Masashi Kusubata,Shunji Hattori,Keisuke Tanaka,Chihiro Miyamoto,Fumihiko Yoshino,Ayaka Yoshida,Satoko Wada-Takahashi,Tomoko Komatsu,Shun-suke Takahashi,Masaichi-Chang-il Lee +12 more
TL;DR: It was suggested that P-NCP can inhibit photo-aging related to ROS owing to its antioxidant effects and the antioxidant effect on (1)O(2) was observed in the peptide fractions rich in Gly, Pro, Hyp, Glu, Ala, and Arg.

Assessment of Anti-Aging Effects of Fish Products Peptide in Middle-Aged Subjects
Fumihiko Yoshino,Ayaka Yoshida,Shuta Sugiyama,Fumiaki Tokutomi,Chihiro Miyamoto,Yojiro Maehata,Kyo Kobayashi,Satoko Wada-Takahashi,Takashi Maetani,Eizo Okada,Yasue Okada,Tomoko Komatsu,Shun-suke Takahashi,Jianrong Wan,Masaichi-Chang-il Lee +14 more
TL;DR: The results show that FPP might contribute to the prevention of lifestyle-related disease by regulating the balance of oxidative stress and improving arteriosclerosis with high oxidative stress.

Direct assessment of the antioxidant properties of midazolam by electron spin resonance spectroscopy.
Mitsuuru Hata,Kyo Kobayashi,Fumihiko Yoshino,Ayaka Yoshida,Shuta Sugiyama,Chihiro Miyamoto,Fumiaki Tokutomi,Yojiro Maehata,Satoko Wada-Takahashi,Shun-suke Takahashi,Tomoko Komatsu,Kazu-ichi Yoshida,Masaichi-Chang-il Lee +12 more
TL;DR: This work investigated the inhibitory effect of midazolam on ROS by in vitro X-band electron spin resonance with the spin-trapping agent 5,5-dimethyl-1-pyrroline-N-oxide and indicated that HO· and O2·– were not affected by midAZolam at clinically relevant concentrations, but were directly scavenged by the drug at high concentrations.
Soft-food diet induces oxidative stress in the rat brain.
Akinori Ohno,Fumihiko Yoshino,Ayaka Yoshida,Norio Hori,Yumie Ono,Katsuhiko Kimoto,Minoru Onozuka,Masaichi Chang il Lee +7 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that soft-food diet feeding enhances oxidative stress, which leads to oxidation and a decrease in the release of DA in the hippocampus of rats, which may be caused by dysfunctional mastication.
