HIV-1 integrase crosslinked oligomers are active in vitro.
Aurelie Faure,Christina Calmels,Cécile Desjobert,Michel Castroviejo,Anne Caumont-Sarcos,Laura Tarrago-Litvak,Simon Litvak,Vincent Parissi +7 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that the tetrameric IN bound to the viral DNA ends is the minimal complex involved in the concerted integration of both LTRs and should be the oligomeric form targeted by future inhibitors.
Biochemical and random mutagenesis analysis of the region carrying the catalytic E152 amino acid of HIV‐1 integrase
Christina Calmels,V. Richard de Soultrait,Anne Caumont,Cécile Desjobert,Aurelie Faure,Michel Fournier,Laura Tarrago-Litvak,Vincent Parissi +7 more
TL;DR: The results support the hypothesis that the three reactions of HIV-1 integrase may involve different DNA binding sites, enzyme conformations or mechanisms and show that the V151E152S153 region involvement in the integration reaction is more important than for the 3'-processing activity and can be involved in the recognition of DNA.

Multimodal activity of g-quartet oligonucleotides and microbicide compositions
Marie-Line Andreola,Michel Ventura,Aurelie Faure,Mathieu Métifiot +3 more
- 19 May 2010
TL;DR: In this article, microbicide compositions comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a G-quartet oligonucleotide and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient for preventing and/or treating retrovirus associated infectious diseases such as human immunodeficiency virus.

Activite multimodale d'oligonucleotides g-quartet et compositions microbicides.
Andreola Marie Line,Michel Ventura,Aurelie Faure,Mathieu Métifiot +3 more
- 24 Dec 2010
TL;DR: A composition microbicide comprenant une quantite therapeutique efficace d'au moins un oligonucleotide G-quartet and un excipient acceptable pharmaceutiquement is defined in this paper, where the compositions microbicides selon la presente invention sont particulierement utiles pour la prevention et/ou le traitement des infections par le VIH and peuvent avantageusement etre administrees en prevention par application topique.
Identification by phage display selection of a short peptide able to inhibit only the strand transfer reaction catalyzed by human immunodeficiency virus type 1 integrase.
Cécile Desjobert,Vaea Richard de Soultrait,Aurelie Faure,Vincent Parissi,Simon Litvak,Laura Tarrago-Litvak,Michel Fournier +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the FHNHGKQ peptide inhibits specifically the strand transfer activity by competing with the target DNA for binding to IN, which could be used as a base for developing new anti-integrase compounds.
