Evaluation of the direction and extent of ice formation during cryoballoon ablation: an experimental study
Yoshiaki Mizutani,Satoshi Yanagisawa,Gen Fujiwara,Yosuke Kasai,Atomu Tajima,Yuichiro Makino,Hitomi Suzuki,Takatsugu Hiramatsu,Hitoshi Ichimiya,Yasuhiro Uchida,Junji Watanabe,Masaaki Kanashiro,Yasuya Inden,Toyoaki Murohara +13 more
TL;DR: Evaluating the extent of ice formation on two types of balloon surfaces found significantly greater on the lower side of the cryoballoon than on the upper side and extended to the proximal hemisphere of the balloon, which might facilitate the acquisition of a wide ablation area on the left atrial posterior wall after cryoapplication.

Difficulty removing a leadless pacemaker in a post-transfusion patient
TL;DR: A 99-year-old woman with atrial fibrillation bradycardia and symptomatic long pauses underwent a leadless pacemaker implantation after red blood cell transfusion due to anaemia as discussed by the authors.

Stent sizing by coronary CT angiography compared with optical coherence tomography.
Brian Ko,H. Ohashi,T. Mizukami,Koshiro Sakai,Jeroen Sonck,Bjarne L. Nørgaard,Michael Maeng,J. M. Jensen,Abdul Ihdayhid,Atomu Tajima,Hirohiko Ando,Tetsuya Amano,B. De Bruyne,Bon-Kwon Koo,Hiromasa Otake,Carlos Collet +15 more
TL;DR: This study compares stent sizing by coronary CT angiography with optical coherence tomography, evaluating their effectiveness in guiding percutaneous coronary interventions and diagnosing coronary artery disease.

Usefulness of the Snare Technique During Leadless Pacemaker Implantation for a Patient with a Severely Dilated Right Atrium.
Takatsugu Hiramatsu,Yoshiaki Mizutani,Satoshi Yanagisawa,Tomomi Sugiyama,Daiki Yamashita,Atomu Tajima,Jun Yonekawa,Yuichiro Makino,Hitomi Suzuki,Hitoshi Ichimiya,Yasuhiro Uchida,Junji Watanabe,Masaaki Kanashiro,Yasuya Inden,Toyoaki Murohara +14 more
TL;DR: The case of a 92-year-old woman with atrial fibrillation bradycardia in which leadless pacemaker implantation was performed with a difficult delivery of the catheter sheath due to an extremely large right atrium is reported.
