TL;DR: Results show that GNPs are likely to have a low bioavailability in SKMES-1 and A549 lung cancer cells and rats, and a more long-term GNPs exposure regime, more relevant to real-life environmental consequences, is needed to fully determine the transport capacities of GNPs in living systems.
