TL;DR: HGAL expression in the BCR-stimulated HBL1 lymphoma cell line (lacking endogenous HGAL protein) resulted in increased Syk, Btk and PLCγ phosphorylation, while Syk plays a major role in coupling BCR activation to downstream effectors.
