The solid state storage device also includes a storage processing system configured to communicate with the interface system to receive the data, process the data against storage allocation information to parallelize the data among a plurality of solid state memory subsystems, and transfer the parallelized data. The interface system is configured to receive the parallelized data, apportion the parallelized data among the plurality of solid state memory subsystems, and transfer the parallelized data for storage in the plurality of solid state memory subsystems, where each of the plurality of solid state memory subsystems is configured to receive the associated portion of the parallelized data and store the associated portion on a solid state storage medium.

Systems, methods, apparatuses, and software for data storage systems are provided herein. In one example, a data storage system is provided that includes a plurality of storage drives each comprising a Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) interface, and configured to store data and retrieve the data stored on associated storage media responsive to storage operations. The data storage system includes one or more processing modules comprising one or more processors communicatively coupled to the plurality of storage drives over a PCIe fabric comprised of one or more PCIe switches. The processors are configured to share a PCIe address space associated with the PCIe fabric for transfer of the storage operations to appropriate ones of the processors that manage ones of the plurality of storage drives.

In one embodiment of the invention, the system-on-chip has full controllability of its logic and circuitry to facilitate configuration of the system-on-chip into a desired mode of operation. For example, in one embodiment of the invention, the hooks in the system-on-chip allow a backend tester to configure the system-on-chip into various modes easily to perform power consumption measurements of one or more individual components of the system-on-chip. The power consumption measurement of the individual components in the system-on-chip can be performed faster and can be more accurate. In addition, the overall yield of the SOC can be increased as it is easier to detect failure parts.

A Test Wrapper and associated Test Access Mechanism (TAM) architecture for facilitating testing of IP blocks integrated on a System on a Chip (SoC). The TAM architecture includes a Test Controller and one or more Test Wrappers that are integrated on the SoC proximate to IP blocks. Test data and commands corresponding to input from an external tester are packaged by the Test Controller and sent to one or more Test Wrappers via an interconnect fabric. The Test Wrappers interface with one or more IP test ports to provide test data, control, and/or stimulus signals to the IP blocks to facilitate circuit-level testing of the IP blocks. Test results for the circuit-level tests are returned to the Test Controller via the fabric. Test Wrappers may be configured to pass through interconnect signals, enabling functional testing of IP blocks to be facilitated via test packages and test results transmitted between the Test Controller and the IP blocks via the fabric. Test wrappers may also be configured to test multiple IP blocks comprising a test partition.
