paper presents Microstrip antenna in the application for a satellite band microwave communication system for super high frequency (SHF), at a frequency range of 4.0 Ghz - 6.0Ghz. Currently, most security, research and education platforms are equipped with SHF communication systems. For their operational requirements, a design study is needed for the development of a light weight, low volume, low profile antenna. Hence, in this paper, bandwidth enhancement techniques such as, use of various substrate with low relative dielectric constant (Ɛ r), size of antenna as well as U slotted patch antenna with coaxial probe feed technique are discussed and explained using optimization program in java and the genetic algorithm is developed. Design and Analysis of Rectangular and U Slotted Patch for Satellite Communication

This paper presents design and analysis of an efficient U-Slot Rectangular microstrip patch antenna for the application of Wireless LAN for operating frequency 2.45 GHz.U-shaped slot on the patch of the coaxially fed rectangular patch antenna increase the bandwidth. Parafin with relative permittivity 2.24 and loss tangent 200e-6 was used as Dielectric substrate material with a height of 4.75 mm. The antenna was designed and simulated using FEKO, Electromagnetic solver software. A bandwidth of 374.733 MHz was achieved with a gain of 7.1304 dBi. Performance parameters like VSWR, Reflection coefficient and Impedance are very good in arguments. Both performance and design parameters have been tabulated under.Various tables, graphs showing these comparisons with detailed analysis have been included in this paper.

Design of U-Slot Rectangular Patch Antenna for Wireless LAN at 2.45GHz

The microstrip patch antenna is used in various communication applications including cellular phones, satellites, missiles, and radars, due to its several attractive features such as small size and weight, low cost, and easy fabrication. The microstrip patch antenna consists of a top radiating patch, a bottom ground plane, and a dielectric substrate in between. The patch can have different shapes, the rectangular patch being the most commonly used. In practice, the microstrip antenna suffers from narrow bandwidth and low gain efficiency. This paper aims to enhance the bandwidth and efficiency of a rectangular-patch antenna using the High-Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS). Initially different patch sizes and substrate materials are investigated and optimal antenna parameters are achieved. Then, the antenna performance is further enhanced by inserting single and double slot designs into the patch. Two cost-effective feeding methods are involved in the investigation. The antenna is designed to operate in the Super High Frequency (SHF) band.

Power Consumption being the prime concern of VLSI designers has always been the source of motivation behind today‟s VLSI state of the art. Adiabatic technique is an emerging field promising significant reduction in the power consumption of the chip. Among several existing techniques, exhaustive comparison is made between SCRL, ECRL and PFAL techniques. The performance of each circuit is studied in terms of the maximum frequency of operation, area overhead over its conventional counterpart and the circuit energy consumption with different load capacitance. Power measured for adiabatic logic techniques and conventional CMOS circuit shows substantial difference in values. Circuit simulation is carried out in LTSPICE.

Comparative Analysis of Adiabatic Logic Techniques

A new type of slotted microstrip antenna, suitable for wideband radar applications, is proposed in this work. The standard U-slot shape, usually adopted to enlarge the operating bandwidth of a microstrip patch, is properly modified to reduce the undesired cross-polar effects, while providing also a significant size reduction. Validations on X-band and P-band, useful for radar applications, are successfully discussed. In particular, a P-band prototype has been manufactured and tested, while the numerical simulation results of an X-band antenna, performing a 45% bandwidth, are successfully reported.

paper describes the design and circuit simulation of split level charge recovery logic (SCRL). In conventional circuits the bits are thrown away for every transformation in the output level, And their associated energy becomes heat, which directly affects the cost of computation by increasing the system overhead required to get rid of the heat causing inconvenience of weight, short battery life etc. SCRL adiabatic logic promises to be an efficient technique to design low power digital VLSI circuit. The power efficiency of SCRL circuit is observed by comparing its performance with static CMOS inverter. A power efficient SCRL CLA is also designed and verified in this paper. Computer simulation using LTSPICE4 is carried out on SCRL circuit's implemented using CMOS technology.
