Synthesis and Structural Characterization of Alkyl, Gallium-Phosphorus Compounds, X-Ray Crystal Structures of (Me3CCH2)2(Cl)Ga.P(SiMe3)3, R2GaP(SiMe3)2GaR2Cl(R=Me3CCH2 and Me3SiCH2), and ((R)(X)GaP(SiMe3)2)2 (R=Me3CCH2, X=Cl; R=Me3CCH2, X=Me3CCH2; R=Me3SiCH2,X=Br).
Richard L. Wells,Ryan A. Baldwin,Peter S. White,William T. Pennington,Arnold L. Rheingold,Glenn P. A. Yap +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the mixed-bridge compound (Me3SiCH2)2GaP(SiMe3) 2Ga(CH2SiMe 3)2Cl (6) was obtained from the 2:1 dehalosilylation reaction of (Me 3SiCH 2)2 GaCl and (Me,Si)3P.

Metal-Free Peralkylation of the closo-Hexaborate Anion
Jonathan C. Axtell,Kent O. Kirlikovali,Dahee Jung,Rafal M. Dziedzic,Arnold L. Rheingold,Alexander M. Spokoyny +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis of fully alkylated closo-hexaborate dianions is reported, which represents the first example of a perfunctionalized hexaborate cluster featuring B-C bonds.

Accessibility and selective stabilization of the principal spin states of iron by pyridyl versus phenolic ketimines: modulation of the 6A1 ↔ 2T2 ground-state transformation of the [FeN4O2]+ chromophore.
Musa S. Shongwe,Usama A. Al-Zaabi,Faizah Al-Mjeni,Carla S. Eribal,Ekkehard Sinn,Immaddin A. Al-Omari,Hussein H. Hamdeh,Dariusz Matoga,Harry Adams,Michael J. Morris,Arnold L. Rheingold,Eckhard Bill,David J. Sellmyer +12 more
TL;DR: Magnetic susceptibility measurements along with EPR and Mössbauer spectroscopic techniques have shown that the iron(III) complexes are spin-crossover (SCO) materials.
Intermediate-spin iron(III) octaethyltetraazaporphyrinates with weakly co-ordinating anions: synthesis, characterization and crystal structure
Jeffrey P. Fitzgerald,Glenn P. A. Yap,Arnold L. Rheingold,Cynthia T. Brewer,Leopold May,Greg Brewer +5 more
TL;DR: The metathesis reaction of AgZ(Z = ClO4, PF6, SbF6 or CF3CO2)-with chloroiron(III) 2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18-octaethyl-5,10,15,20-tetraazaporphyrinate chloride, Fe(oetap)Cl, in tetrahydrofuran or toluene gave the AgZ derivatives in approximately 70% yield as mentioned in this paper.
