Prognostic value of FDG-PET scan imaging in lymphoma patients undergoing autologous stem cell transplantation.
Jakub Svoboda,Charalambos Andreadis,Rebecca Elstrom,Elise A. Chong,Lisa H. Downs,Arnold Berkowitz,Selina M. Luger,David L. Porter,Sunita D. Nasta,Donald E. Tsai,Alison W. Loren,Don L. Siegel,Eli Glatstein,Abass Alavi,Edward A. Stadtmauer,Stephen J. Schuster +15 more
TL;DR: A retrospective analysis of 50 lymphoma patients who had an 18F-fluoro-deoxyglucose positron emission tomography scan after at least two cycles of salvage chemotherapy and before autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) indicated an extremely poor chance of durable response after ASCT.

18F-FDG PET in mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma.
Lapo Alinari,Paolo Castellucci,Rebecca Elstrom,Valentina Ambrosini,Vittorio Stefoni,Cristina Nanni,Arnold Berkowitz,Monica Tani,Mohsen Farsad,Roberto Franchi,Stefano Fanti,Pier Luigi Zinzani +11 more
TL;DR: The data show that 18FDG-PET is a useful diagnostic tool in order to stage, restage or monitor disease in patients with extra-nodal MALT lymphoma.

Prognostic Value of FDG-PET in Lymphoma Patients Undergoing Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation.
Jakub Svoboda,Rebecca Elstrom,Elise A. Chong,Charalambos Andreadis,Arnold Berkowitz,Selina M. Luger,David L. Porter,Sunita D. Nasta,Lisa H. Downs,Don L. Siegel,Eli Glatstein,Abass Alavi,Edward A. Stadtmauer,Stephen J. Schuster +13 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that a positive FDG-PET scan after salvage chemotherapy and prior to ASCT indicates an extremely poor chance of achieving a prolonged remission after ASCT.

Determination of whole-body metabolic burden as a quantitative measure of disease activity in lymphoma: a novel approach with fluorodeoxyglucose-PET
Arnold Berkowitz,Sandip Basu,Shyam Srinivas,Shrinkanthan Sankaran,Stephen J. Schuster,Abass Alavi +5 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that measurement of WBMB may prove to be superior to the existing methods in assessing and managing patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and this index may be the best way to monitor the changes in WBMB as a patient is undergoing treatment.
