Deterministic Spin-Orbit Torque Switching by a Light-Metal Insertion.
Armin Razavi,Hao Wu,Qiming Shao,Qiming Shao,Chi Fang,Bingqian Dai,Kin Fai Ellick Wong,Xiufeng Han,Guoqiang Yu,Kang L. Wang +9 more
TL;DR: This work presents that by inserting a slightly asymmetric light-metal at the heavy-metal/ferromagnet interface of SOT heterostructures, current-induced out-of-plane effective magnetic fields are introduced that enable deterministic switching without the external magnetic fields.

Enhancement of spin-to-charge conversion efficiency in topological insulators by interface engineering
TL;DR: In this paper, the inverse Edelstein effect length (λIEE) increases by 60% with a Ru insertion while remains constant with a Ti insertion, and this result suggests that λIEE is very sensitive to the TI interface.
Spin–orbit torques in structures with asymmetric dusting layers
Armin Razavi,Hao Wu,Bingqian Dai,Haoran He,Di Wu,Kin Fai Ellick Wong,Guoqiang Yu,Kang L. Wang +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the emergence of current-induced perpendicular effective magnetic fields (Hzeff) was studied in three different material combinations of heavy metal/dusting layers (W/Mn, Pt/IrMn and W/Ta).
