Particle dynamics of the passive layer within a granular drum using wavelet analysis

This paper puts forward an image de-noising method based on 2D wavelet transform with the application of the method in seabed identification data collection system. Two-dimensional haar wavelets in image processing presents a unified framework for wavelet image compression and combining with side scan sonar image. Seabed identification target have 7 target detection in side scan sonar imagery result.  The vibration signals were analyzed to perform fault diagnosis. The obtained signal was time-domain signal. The experiment result shows that the application of 2D wavelet transform image de-noising algorithm can achieve good subjective and objective image quality and help to collect high quality data and analyze the images for the data center with optimum effects, the features from time-domain signal were extracted. 3 vectors were formed which are v1, v2, v3. In Haar wavelet retained energy is 93.8 %, so from the results, it has been concluded that Haar wavelet transform shows the best results in terms of Energy from De-noised Image processing with side scan sonar imagery.

There is little information about the detection of signals made on dolphins by detecting whistle sounds that serve as an echolocation on dolphins. Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops aduncus) will be able to receive sound waves with a frequency range of 15 kHz to 150 kHz. The purpose of this research was to analyze the signal detection of whistle sound aimed at communication manipulation. This research is done with the location at Ocean Dream Ocean, Ancol. Indonesia on May 10, 2016. The method of the filter in this study using Band Pass Filter (BPF) with cut off 0–12 kHz. The results of signal detection on dolphin whistle Interval Interval at the time before meals and after meals have the different maximum time span of each other with time 630 ms and 650 ms. At the whistle sound interval after meals more shows a significantly greater difference with whistle 2 at 196.66 ms duration and before meals with whistle 4 at 12 ms duration. Source level (SL) produced at the time before the meal has the highest value on whistle sound 3 (range 15900 Hz-16100 Hz) at 33.6 dB intensity, while at the after the meal on whistle sound 4 (range 17800 Hz - 185 00 Hz on intensity 33.62 dB.

Echolocation Signal Detection From Captive Dolphin Using Whistles Sound

Haar wavelet method in mathematics is a sequence of rescaled "square-shaped", and have functions which together form mother wavelet or basis. Wavelet is analysis similars to Fourier Transform or Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) analysis allows a target function over an intervals to be represented in terms of orthonormal basis. The Haar sequence is now recognised as the first known wavelet basis and extensively used filtering data, and vocalization of sound. This study discussed about Haar wavelet with a view original signal, denoised signal, and residual signal with using fourth whistle sounds of dolphin (Tursiops aduncus). Location research in Park of Safari, Cisarua, Bogor Indonesia with 2 tail of dolphins. The results showed differences in results haar wavelet, this proves haar wavelet is a wavelet method is suitable for the analysis of dolphin sounds, and have frequency range 8-22 kHz. The higher the value of the noised signal will be smaller residual signal. Rated highest of residual signal contained in the second whistle, whistle while the lowest is 1, it shows that the larger the signal denoised result residual signal generated using Haar wavelet. Source level value is with frequency range value is 8500 Hz-11800 Hz, with the highest SL value is 43.9 dB ( brown cyrcle). The lowest of Source level with frequency range value is 15700 Hz-17990 Hz, with a lowest SL value is 38.5 dB ( brown cyrcle). Frequency range 11800 Hz-15700 Hz is mean value from Source Level (SL). Whistle 1, 2, 3, and 4 have a different value SL.

Signal and spectrum analysis signature whistle of bottlenose dolphins using Wavelab, and Raven Pro 1.5 software. Analysis spectrum of bottlenose dolphin with software analysis Raven Pro 1.5 with wave data channels 1 with sample rates is 44100 Hz, encoding data 16-bit signed, length time duration is 0,7 second, and samples of data is 32386 and have 6 pattern of signature whistle bottlenose dolphins. Analysis of power spectral density used Power Spectral Density (PSD) Yule-Walker AR and Welch Power Spectral Density of signature whistles with location of research in safari park captivity, Indonesia. The pattern seen in the sound has six patterns of range is at 100-700 ms with frequency 6-22 kHz. Interval of whistle have range in pattern 1 is 100-200 ms, pattern 2 is 200-300 ms, pattern 3 is 320-370 ms, pattern 4 is 430-550 ms, pattern 5 is 550-600 and pattern 6 is 600-650 ms. Range intensity color -47 until -48 dB, range frequency 1-8 kHz, time duration 0-500 ms. Highest intensity value of signature whistle bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops aduncus) is -37.71 dB in frequency 18 kHz with time duration 100 ms. Yule-Walker AR methos have result in marker 1 (perpendicular line) with clay color have (x) 2728 and (y) -15.70 dB, and marker 2 with interrupted line have (x) value 5456 and (y) value -5.55 dB. Welch method have result in marker 1 (perpendicular line) with clay color have (x) 1365 and (y) -32,67 dB, and marker 2 with interrupted line have (x) value 2728 and (y) value -32.46 dB Welch power spectral density is a good method used for signal and spectrum analysis with object signature whistle of bottlenose dolphins.
