TL;DR: Female rats of the Sprague- Dawley strain were hypophysectomized at 28 days of age; 7 days later, subcutaneous injections of ovine ICSH and/or ovine FSH were initiated, and neither gonadotropin nor estrogen stimulated the release of sufficient estrogen to cause uterine development.

TL;DR: Evidence in support of the interpretation that lactogenic hormone intervenes at the level of the testis and that growth hormone intervene at thelevel of the ventral prostate as well as of the prostate test has been found.
