Identification, Characterization, and Detection of Black raspberry necrosis virus.
TL;DR: It is concluded that Black raspberry decline-associated virus (BRDaV) is a strain of BRNV, a previously described yet unsequenced virus that belongs to the genus Sadwavirus.

An improved, high-quality draft genome sequence of the Germination-Arrest Factor-producing Pseudomonas fluorescens WH6
Jeffrey A. Kimbrel,Scott A. Givan,Anne Halgren,Allison L. Creason,Dallice Mills,Gary M. Banowetz,Donald J. Armstrong,Jeff H. Chang +7 more
TL;DR: The improved high-quality draft genome sequence of WH6 contributes towards resolving the P. fluorescens species, providing additional impetus for establishing two separate lineages in P. influenza and discovering several candidate virulence and host-association mechanisms.
Genetics of germination-arrest factor (GAF) production by Pseudomonas fluorescens WH6: identification of a gene cluster essential for GAF biosynthesis
Anne Halgren,Maciej Maselko,Mark D. Azevedo,Dallice Mills,Donald J. Armstrong,Gary M. Banowetz +5 more
TL;DR: RT-qPCR analyses demonstrated that mutations in the gntR and iopB regulatory genes, as well as in a prtR homologue identified earlier as controlling GAF formation, suppressed transcription of at least two of the putative GAF biosynthesis genes (encoding the aminotransferase and formyltransferase) located in this 13 kb region.
Selective inhibition of Erwinia amylovora by the herbicidally active germination-arrest factor (GAF) produced by Pseudomonas bacteria
Anne Halgren,Mark D. Azevedo,Dallice Mills,Donald J. Armstrong,Muralidhara Thimmaiah,Kerry L. McPhail,Gary M. Banowetz +6 more
TL;DR: The germination‐arrest factor (GAF) produced by Pseudomonas fluorescens WH6, and identified as 4‐formylaminooxyvinylglycine, specifically inhibits the germination of a wide range of grassy weeds.

Germination-Arrest Factor (GAF): 3. Determination that the herbicidal activity of GAF is associated with a ninhydrin-reactive compound and counteracted by selected amino acids
Donald J. Armstrong,Mark D. Azevedo,Dallice Mills,Bonnie J. Bailey,Brian W. Russell,Aleta M. Groenig,Anne Halgren,Gary M. Banowetz,Kerry L. McPhail +8 more
TL;DR: The ninhydrin-reactivity of GAF indicates that it probably contains an amino group, as well as the acid group previously demonstrated, and suggests that GAF may be a small peptide or amino acid analog.
