Hemispheric Asymmetries for Whole-Based and Part-Based Face Processing in the Human Fusiform Gyrus
Bruno Rossion,Laurence Dricot,Anne Devolder,J.-M Bodart,Marc Crommelinck,Beatrice de Gelder,Richard Zoontjes +6 more
TL;DR: The present PET study identifies the anatomical localization of these effects in well-defined regions of the middle fusiform gyri of both hemispheres as a double dissociation between two modes of face processing.

Specific activation of the V5 brain area by auditory motion processing: an fMRI study.
Colline Poirier,Olivier Collignon,Anne Devolder,Laurent Renier,Annick Vanlierde,Dai Tranduy,Christian Scheiber +6 more
TL;DR: This comparison of how moving and static stimuli are processed showed the involvement of the parietal lobules, the dorsal and ventral premotor cortex and the planum temporale during auditory motion processing, which suggests that the occipital cortex can process non-visual stimuli and that V5 is not restricted to visual processing.
