Ryder Glacier in northwest Greenland is shielded from warm Atlantic water by a bathymetric sill
Martin Jakobsson,Larry A. Mayer,Johan Nilsson,Christian Stranne,Brian R. Calder,Matt O'Regan,John W. Farrell,Thomas M. Cronin,Volker Brüchert,Julek Chawarski,Björn Eriksson,Jonas Fredriksson,Laura Gemery,Anna Glueder,Felicity A. Holmes,Kevin Jerram,Nina Kirchner,Alan C. Mix,Julia Muchowski,Abhay Prakash,Brendan T Reilly,Brett F. Thornton,Adam Ulfsbo,Elizabeth Weidner,Elizabeth Weidner,Henning Åkesson,Tamara Handl,Emelie Ståhl,Lee-Gray Boze,Sam Reed,Gabriel West,June Padman +31 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a bathymetric sill in Sherard Osborn Fjord, northwest Greenland shields Ryder Glacier from melting by warm Atlantic water found at the bottom of the fjord.
Holocene break-up and reestablishment of the Petermann Ice Tongue, Northwest Greenland
Brendan T Reilly,Joseph S. Stoner,Alan C. Mix,Maureen H. Walczak,Anne E. Jennings,Martin Jakobsson,Laurence M. Dyke,Anna Glueder,Keith W. Nicholls,Kelly A. Hogan,Larry A. Mayer,Robert G. Hatfield,Sam Albert,Shaun A. Marcott,Stewart Fallon,M. Cheseby +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors extend the historical record of the floating ice tongue using the stratigraphy of Petermann Fjord sediments to provide a longer-term perspective.

- 01 Jan 2020
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors identify the most continuous and highest-resolution stratigraphic records in the Southern Ocean near Antarctica spanning the last 3.3myr, and demonstrate that variations in Dove Basin lithostratigraphy during the Pleistocene reflect a similar history as globally integrated ice volume at these frequencies.
Calibrated relative sea levels constrain isostatic adjustment and ice history in northwest Greenland
Anna Glueder,Alan C. Mix,Glenn A. Milne,Brendan T Reilly,Jorie Clark,Martin Jakobsson,Larry A. Mayer,Stewart Fallon,John Southon,June Padman,Andrew N. Ross,Thomas W. Cronin,Jennifer L. McKay +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the relative sea level (RSL) derived primarily from marine bivalves near Petermann Glacier, NW Greenland, constrain past regional ice-mass changes through GIA modeling.

Martos,Lara F. Pérez,Osamu Seki,Shubham Tripathi,Xufeng Zheng +31 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors report on the sedimentology and provenance of the oldest of three cm-scale coarse-grained layers recovered from this sea at International Ocean Discovery Program Site U1538.
