TL;DR: A study focusing on patients co-treated with methotrexate for more than 95% of them found a late occurrence of ADAs not previously observed, whereby the risk continued to increase over 18 months, and disease duration, DAS28 and lifetime smoking are clinical predictors of ADA development.
Using Serum Metabolomics to Predict Development of Anti-drug Antibodies in Multiple Sclerosis Patients Treated With IFNβ.
Kirsty E Waddington,Artemis Papadaki,Leda Coelewij,Marsilio Adriani,Petra Nytrova,Eva Havrdova,Anna Fogdell-Hahn,Rachel Farrell,Pierre Dönnes,Ines Pineda-Torra,Elizabeth C. Jury +10 more
TL;DR: Serum metabolites are a promising biomarker for prediction of ADA development in MS patients treated with IFNβ, and could provide novel insight into mechanisms of immunogenicity.
Anti-rituximab antibodies demonstrate neutralizing capacity, associate with lower circulating drug levels and earlier relapse in lupus
Chris Wincup,Nicky Dunn,C. Ruetsch-Chelli,Ali Manouchehrinia,Nastya Kharlamova,Meena Naja,Barbara Seitz-Polski,David A. Isenberg,Anna Fogdell-Hahn,Coziana Ciurtin,Elizabeth C. Jury +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , the anti-drug antibodies (ADA) to rituximab have been demonstrated in patients undergoing treatment for SLE and their long-term dynamics, impact on drug kinetics and subsequent implications for treatment response were evaluated.
First exposure to rituximab is associated to high rate of anti-drug antibodies in systemic lupus erythematosus but not in ANCA-associated vasculitis.
F. Faustini,F. Faustini,Nicky Dunn,Nastya Kharlamova,Malin Ryner,Annette Bruchfeld,Annette Bruchfeld,Vivianne Malmström,Anna Fogdell-Hahn,Iva Gunnarsson,Iva Gunnarsson +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a bridging electrochemiluminescent (ECL) immunoassay was used to detect anti-drug antibodies (ADAs) in sera from rituximab-naive (AAV) patients.
COVID‐19 clinical outcomes and DMT of MS patients and population‐based controls

TL;DR: Risks for all‐cause mortality and for severe COVID‐19 in multiple sclerosis patients and across relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis Patients exposed to disease‐modifying therapies are estimated.
