TL;DR: Cervical pessary in nonlaboring individuals with a singleton gestation and with a cervical length of 20 mm or less did not decrease the risk of preterm birth and was associated with a higher rate of fetal or neonatal/infant mortality.

TL;DR: Perinatal transmission of hepatitis C virus occurred only in the setting of maternal viremia, and risk factors included viral load greater than 106 international units/mL and antepartum vaginal bleeding and vaginal bleeding reported at any time before delivery.
