Novel indanone derivatives as MAO B/H3R dual-targeting ligands for treatment of Parkinson's disease.
TL;DR: Indanone-substituted derivatives are promising lead structures for the design of MAO B/hH3R DTLs as novel therapeutic approach of PD therapy.

Multiple Targeting Approaches on Histamine H3 Receptor Antagonists
Mohammad A. Khanfar,Mohammad A. Khanfar,Anna Affini,Kiril Lutsenko,Katarina Nikolic,Stefania Butini,Holger Stark +6 more
TL;DR: The polypharmacological approaches on histamine H3 receptor antagonists on different G-protein coupled receptors, transporters, enzymes as well as on NO-signaling mechanism are described, supported with some lead structures.
Adenosine A 2A R/A 1 R Antagonists Enabling Additional H 3 R Antagonism for the Treatment of Parkinson's Disease.
Stefanie Hagenow,Anna Affini,Elsa Y. Pioli,Sonja Hinz,Yan Zhao,Gregory Porras,Vigneshwaran Namasivayam,Christa E. Müller,Jian-Sheng Lin,Erwan Bezard,Holger Stark +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a piperidino/pyrrolidino(propyloxy)phenyl H3R pharmacophore was introduced with overlap into an adenosine antagonist arylindenopyrimidine core.

Rasagiline derivatives combined with histamine H3 receptor properties
TL;DR: The irreversible monoamine oxidase B (MAO B) inhibitor rasagiline has been described with multiple disease modifying effects in vitro on models of Parkinson's disease and the combination of this established drug to recently developed histamine H3 receptor (H3R) antagonist elements gives new impetus to the design of multitargeting ligands.
