Primary glioblastoma cultures: can profiling of stem cell markers predict radiotherapy sensitivity?
Dieter Lemke,Dieter Lemke,Markus Weiler,Markus Weiler,Jonas Blaes,Benedikt Wiestler,Benedikt Wiestler,Leonie Jestaedt,Ann Catherine Klein,Sarah Löw,Sarah Löw,Günter Eisele,Bernhard Radlwimmer,David Capper,Kirsten Schmieder,Michel Mittelbronn,Michel Mittelbronn,Stephanie E. Combs,Martin Bendszus,Michael Weller,Michael Platten,Wolfgang Wick,Wolfgang Wick +22 more
TL;DR: Established stem cell markers and stem cell attributed characteristics such as self‐renewal capacity and tumorigenicity have been profiled in primary glioblastoma cultures to predict radiosensitivity and, except CD44, the testedstem cell markers showed an inverse correlation between expression and radioresistance.

Cellular senescence and developmental defects
TL;DR: In this article , the authors discuss three recent studies that implicate ectopic senescence in neurodevelopmental defects, with possible causative roles for senescences in these birth defects.

Costimulatory protein 4IgB7H3 drives the malignant phenotype of glioblastoma by mediating immune escape and invasiveness
Dieter Lemke,Philipp Niclas Pfenning,Felix Sahm,Ann Catherine Klein,Tore Kempf,Uwe Warnken,Martina Schnölzer,Ruxandra Tudoran,Ruxandra Tudoran,Michael Weller,Michael Platten,Michael Platten,Wolfgang Wick,Wolfgang Wick +13 more
TL;DR: Because of its immunosuppressive and proinvasive function, 4IgB7H3 may serve as a therapeutic target in the treatment of glioblastoma.
