Investigation into the energy cost of live migration of virtual machines
Kateryna Rybina,Waltenegus Dargie,Anja Strunk,Alexander Schill +3 more
- 19 Dec 2013
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the workload of a virtual machine does not have any bearing on the power consumption of the destination server during migration but it has on the source server, and the available network bandwidth and the size of the virtual machine introduce a non-negligible energy overhead and migration latency on both the source and the destination servers.
ConQo – A Context- And QoS-Aware Service Discovery
Iris Braun,Anja Strunk,Gergana Stoyanova,Bastian Buder +3 more
- 01 Jan 2008
TL;DR: ConQo is introduced, a approach for a contextand QoS-aware service discovery and selection and a lack of systems taking both non-functional categories into account is introduced.

Energy-aware service execution
Waltenegus Dargie,Anja Strunk,Alexander Schill +2 more
- 04 Oct 2011
TL;DR: A conceptual architecture for an energy-aware service execution platform is introduced and three optimisation mechanisms to support dynamic service migration and rebinding are compared.
Integrated service engineering workbench: service engineering for digital ecosystems
Gregor Scheithauer,Konrad Voigt,Veli Bicer,Matthias Heinrich,Anja Strunk,Matthias Winkler +5 more
- 27 Oct 2009
TL;DR: The ISE Framework is introduced, the ISE Workbench is presented and its functionality is presented, and a demonstration of a conducted case study in the IT outsourcing domain is proposed.
MDA applied: a task-model driven tool chain for multimodal applications
Matthias Heinrich,Matthias Winkler,Hagen Steidelmüller,Manuel Zabelt,Alex Behring,René Neumerkel,Anja Strunk +6 more
- 07 Nov 2007
TL;DR: A task-centric methodology and a tool chain leveraging the development of adaptive multimodal applications based on the Model Driven Architecture approach emphasizing two key principles: model-to-model transformations and tool integration.
