p27 and Leukemia: Cell Cycle and Beyond
Anita Roy,Subrata Banerjee +1 more
TL;DR: The functions of p27 are summarized while highlighting its emerging roles in leukemia and its role in cell cycle progression is highlighted.

Secreted Mutant Calreticulins As Rogue Cytokines in Myeloproliferative Neoplasms.
Christian Pecquet,Nicolas Papadopoulos,Thomas Balligand,Ilyas Chachoua,Amandine Tisserand,Gaëlle Vertenoeil,Audrey Nédélec,Didier Vertommen,Anita Roy,Caroline Marty,Harini Nivarthi,Jean-Philippe Defour,Mira El-Khoury,Eva Hug,Andrea Majoros,Erica Xu,Oleh Zagrijtschuk,Tudor Emanuel Fertig,Daciana S. Marta,Heinz Gisslinger,Bettina Gisslinger,Martin Schalling,Ilaria Carola Casetti,Elisa Rumi,Daniela Pietra,Chiara Cavalloni,Luca Arcaini,Mario Cazzola,Norio Komatsu,Yoshihiko Kihara,Yoshitaka Sunami,Yoko Edahiro,Marito Araki,Roman Lesyk,Veronika Buxhofer-Ausch,Sonja Heibl,Florence Pasquier,Isabelle Plo,William Vainchenker,Robert Kralovics,Stefan N. Constantinescu +40 more
TL;DR: In this article , mutant calreticulin (CALR) proteins resulting from a -1/-2 frameshifting mutation of the CALR exon 9 carry a novel C-terminal amino acid sequence and drive the development of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs).

Carboxyl-terminal-dependent recruitment of nonmuscle myosin II to megakaryocyte contractile ring during polyploidization
Idinath Badirou,Idinath Badirou,Jiajia Pan,Jiajia Pan,Céline Legrand,Céline Legrand,Aibing Wang,Larissa Lordier,Larissa Lordier,Siham Boukour,Siham Boukour,Anita Roy,Anita Roy,William Vainchenker,William Vainchenker,Yunhua Chang,Yunhua Chang +16 more
TL;DR: In vivo evidence is provided that the carboxyl-terminal domain of the heavy chains determines myosin II localization to the MK contractile ring and is responsible for the specific role of NMII-B in MK polyploidization.
14
Differential regulation of MCM7 and its intronic miRNA cluster miR-106b-25 during megakaryopoiesis induced polyploidy
TL;DR: The results show that contrary to mitotic cell cycle, endomitosis proceeds with an un-coupling of the expression of MCM7 and miR-106b-25, and highlights the importance of a transcript variant ofMCM7 destined for NMD in the modulation of megakaryopoiesis.
13
Increased Cytoplasmic Localization of p27kip1 and Its Modulation of RhoA Activity during Progression of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia
TL;DR: A crucial link between cytoplasmic p27kip1, RhoA activity and SAPK/JNK signalling is revealed, for the first time, which is observed to affect cell survival in the presence of imatinib through the SAPK-JNK pathway.
