TL;DR: In this article , a cross-sectional web-based survey at schools in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, two years after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, school children were asked about COVID19-related future anxiety using the German epidemic-related Dark Future Scale for children (eDFS-K).

TL;DR: A high acceptability of the test method is crucial for a successful SARS-CoV-2 surveillance strategy in school settings in particular, and all respondents clearly preferred the saliva swab method, which can be used safely without complications in children six years of age and older.
