Papers
Gate controlled coupling of intersubband plasmons
Aymeric Delteil,Angela Vasanelli,Yanko Todorov,Bruno Paulillo,Giorgio Biasiol,Lucia Sorba,Carlo Sirtori +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the two optically active transitions are mutually coupled by dipole-dipole Coulomb interaction, which strongly renormalizes their absorption amplitude.
Measurement of gain and losses of a midinfrared quantum cascade laser by wavelength chirping spectroscopy
E. Benveniste,S. Laurent,Angela Vasanelli,C. Manquest,Carlo Sirtori,F. Teulon,Mathieu Carras,Xavier Marcadet +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an optimized technique for the measurement of gain and losses of semiconductor lasers, where they optically inject the beam of a distributed feedback laser (DFB) inside the cavity of the laser under study.
Semiconductor quantum plasmons for high frequency thermal emission
Angela Vasanelli,Yanko Todorov,Baptiste Dailly,Sébastien Cosme,Djamal Gacemi,Andrew Haky,Isabelle Sagnes,Carlo Sirtori +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, volume plasmons can form in doped layers of widths of hundreds of nanometers, without the need of potential barrier for electronic confinement, which makes them perfect absorbers and therefore suitable for incandescent emission.
Plasmon‐Assisted Directional Infrared Photoluminescence of HgTe Nanocrystals
Erwan Bossavit,Tung Huu Dang,Puyuan He,María Sara Cavallo,Adrien Khalili,Corentin Dabard,Huichen Zhang,Djamal Gacemi,Mathieu G. Silly,Claire Abadie,Bruno Gallas,Debora Pierucci,Yanko Todorov,Carlo Sirtori,Benjamin T. Diroll,A. Degiron,Emmanuel Lhuillier,Angela Vasanelli +17 more
TL;DR: HgTe nanocrystals exhibit tunable near- to mid-infrared photoluminescence, but efficient electroluminescence requires high electrical efficiency and photon extraction. A metallic grating enhances photoluminescence by 4x and enables directional emission through period-driven grating effects.
Dark current analysis of quantum cascade detectors by magnetoresistance measurements
Aurore Gomez,Aurore Gomez,Nicolas Péré-Laperne,Louis-Anne de Vaulchier,Cédric Koeniguer,Angela Vasanelli,Alexandru Nedelcu,Xavier Marcadet,Yves Guldner,Vincent Berger,Vincent Berger +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple model based on the sum of diffusion events from one cascade to the next one through optical-phonon-mediated transitions was proposed to predict the optical and electronic properties of a complex heterostructure.
