TL;DR: This study illustrates how original approaches such as the phylogeny-based method used can empower classical molecular epidemiological studies aimed at identifying association or risk modification effects.

TL;DR: It is shown that 46 out of the now 56 SALL1 mutations are located between the coding regions for the glutamine‐rich domain mediating SALL protein interactions and 65 bp 3′ of the coding region for the first double zinc finger domain, narrowing the Sall1 mutational hotspot region to a stretch of 802bp within exon 2.
Analysis of lymphoedema-distichiasis families for FOXC2 mutations reveals small insertions and deletions throughout the gene
Rachel Bell,G Brice,A H Child,V. A. Murday,Sahar Mansour,C. J. Sandy,J R O Collin,Angela F. Brady,David F. Callen,kevin Burnand,Peter S. Mortimer,Steve Jeffery +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors reported the mutational analysis of 14 families with lymphoedema-distichiasis (LD) with 14 families having small insertions or deletions in the gene, which seem likely to produce haploinsufficiency.
