(1-->3)-beta-D-glucan and endotoxin in house dust and peak flow variability in children.
Jeroen Douwes,Anetta Zuidhof,Gert Doekes,S C van der Zee,Inge M. Wouters,Hendrika Boezen,Bert Brunekreef +6 more
TL;DR: Although no associations were found with microbial agent levels in bedroom floor or mattress dust, high levels of (1-->3)-beta-D-glucan in living room floor dust apparently increase PEF variability in asthmatic children.

Tiotropium inhibits pulmonary inflammation and remodelling in a guinea pig model of COPD
Tonio Pera,Anetta Zuidhof,J. Valadas,Martine J. Smit,Regina Schoemaker,Reinoud Gosens,Harm Maarsingh,Johan Zaagsma,Herman Meurs +8 more
TL;DR: Tiotropium inhibits remodelling of the airways as well as pulmonary inflammation in a guinea pig model of COPD, suggesting that endogenous acetylcholine plays a major role in the pathogenesis of this disease.

Effects of salbutamol and enantiomers on allergen-induced asthmatic reactions and airway hyperreactivity
TL;DR: In conclusion, inhalation of therapeutically relevant doses of R- and RS-salbutamol effectively suppress allergen-induced airway reactivity after the early and late asthmatic reactions, the R-enantiomer being slightly more potent with respect to early airway reactsivity than the racemate.
