Acquired tolerance in cadmium-adapted lung epithelial cells: Roles of the c-Jun N-terminal kinase signaling pathway and basal level of metallothionein
TL;DR: The results suggest that during cadmium adaptation, cells develop tolerance to cell death, generally due to perturbation of the JNK signaling pathway and the nonresponsiveness of JNK phosphorylation is critical for the Cd-tolerance in these cells.

TL;DR: The changes in metabolic profiles of humans and rodents under long-term Cd exposure from the perspective of metabolomics are focused on and the relationship between the disturbance of metabolic pathways and the toxic mechanism of Cd is discussed to facilitate the development of reliable metabolic biomarkers for early detection and diagnosis of C d-related diseases.
