Study of the Potential Application of Lactic Acid Bacteria in the Control of Infection Caused by Agrobacterium tumefaciens
Nataliia Limanska,N. Korotaeva,Biscola,Tetiana Ivanytsia,Andrii Merlich,Franco Bdgm,Jean-Marc Chobert,Ivanytsia,Thomas Haertlé +8 more
TL;DR: Evaluation of number of surviving cuttings and amount of buds that grew indicated that co-inoculation with agrobacteria and LAB removed completely the negative influence of phytopathogen on grapevines and reduced the number of infected Cuttings by approximately 80%.
Characterization of the bacteriocin produced by Enterococcus italicus ONU547 isolated from Thai fermented cabbage
Andrii Merlich,Mykola Galkin,Yvan Choiset,Nataliia Limanska,Nataliia Vasylieva,Volodymyr Ivanytsia,Thomas Haertlé,Thomas Haertlé +7 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that the studied bacteriocin could be a perspective antibiofilm agent in food conservation and medicine and an antagonistic activity of cell-free supernatant eliminated after the treatment with Proteinase K is suggested.

Biofilm formation and genetic diversity of Lactobacillus plantarum strains originated from France and Ukraine.
Nataliia Limanska,Andrii Merlich,Mykola Galkin,Nataliia Vasylieva,Yvan Choiset,Tetiana Ivanytsia,Maryna Zlatohurska,Volodymyr Ivanytsia,Jean-Marc Chobert,Thomas Haertlé +9 more
TL;DR: No clear association between the geographical origin of the L. plantarum strains and clustering by RAPD-PCR analysis was found, and two strains with high level of biofilm formation were grouped in one subcluster.
Bacteriocin associated genes in french and ukrainian fermented vegetable isolates of lactiplantibacillus plantarum
Nataliia Limanska,Andrii Merlich,Maryna Zlatohurska,Mykola Galkin,N. V. Korotaieva,Tetiana Ivanytsia,Yvan Choiset,Volodymyr Ivanytsia,Thomas Haertlé +8 more
TL;DR: The aim of this work was to study the distribution of pln genes in French and Ukrainian isolates of L. plantarum of fermented plant origin from the distant geographical regions, and certain combinations of genes from plantaricin regulon could be proposed as indicators marking the geographical origin of the species.
Antimycotic activity of the isolates of lactobacteria from wa-ter and mussels of black sea
Andrii Merlich,I. I. Kimurzhyi,R. R. Kovalchuk,M. V. Shutylo,Volodymyr Ivanytsia +4 more
- 20 Dec 2023
TL;DR: The most of tested LAB isolates from Black Sea exhibited high antimycotic activity against P. expansum UКМ F-575 and A. niger UКМ F-16706 even within seven days indicating fungicidal character of action.
