The Effect of Manufacture Process on Mechanical Properties and Burning Behavior of Epoxy-Based Hybrid Composites
Kamila Sałasińska,U. Cabulis,Mikelis Kirpluks,Andrejs Kovalovs,Pawel Kozikowski,Mateusz Barczewski,Maciej Celiński,Kamila Mizera,Marta Gałecka,Eduards Skukis,Kaspars Kalnins,Ugis Cabulis,Anna Boczkowska +12 more
TL;DR: It was demonstrated that multi-layer hybrid composites made by vacuum bagging might enhance the fire safety levels and simultaneously maintain high mechanical properties designed for, e.g., the railway and automotive industries.

Active twist of model rotor blades with d-spar design
TL;DR: In this article, a 3D finite element model of the rotor blade has been built by ANSYS, where rotor blade skin and spar moustaches are modeled by the linear layered structural shell elements SHELL99, and the spar and foam by 3D 20-node structural solid elements SOLID 186.

- 23 Jun 2011
TL;DR: In this article, the identification of the elastic properties of laminated plate using vibration test data is focused on the identification problem, which is solved by using non-linear mathematical programming techniques and sensitivity analysis.

Optimisation Methodology of a Full-scale Active Twist Rotor Blade
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented an optimization methodology for the design of a full scale rotor blade with an active twist to enhance its capability for vibration and noise reduction, which is based on the 3D finite element model, planning of experiments and response surface technique to obtain high piezoelectric actuation forces and displacements with the minimal actuator weight and energy applied.
