The use of recombinant activated factor VII in patients with acquired haemophilia.
Andreas Tiede,Kagehiro Amano,Alice D Ma,Per Arkhammar,Soraya Benchikh El Fegoun,Anders Rosholm,Stephanie Seremetis,Francesco Baudo +7 more
TL;DR: In patients with AH, rFVIIa has a high rate of haemostatic efficacy in acute and surgical bleeding episodes and in surgical procedures, and available data showed that acute bleed control rates were higher for first-line rFVIa versus salvage rF VIIa.

Recombinant FXIII (rFXIII-A2) Prophylaxis Prevents Bleeding and Allows for Surgery in Patients with Congenital FXIII A-Subunit Deficiency
Manuel Carcao,Carmen Altisent,Giancarlo Castaman,Katsuyuki Fukutake,Bryce A. Kerlin,Craig M. Kessler,Riitta Lassila,Diane J. Nugent,Johannes Oldenburg,May-Lill Garly,Anders Rosholm,Aida Inbal +11 more
TL;DR: RFXIII-A 2 prophylaxis provided sufficient haemostatic coverage for 12 minor surgeries without the need for additional FXIII therapy; eight procedures were performed within 7 days of the patient's last scheduled rFXIII -A 2 dose, and four were performed 10 to 21 days after the last dose.
Pharmacokinetics of recombinant factor XIII in young children with congenital FXIII deficiency and comparison with older patients
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that a single dose of 35 IU kg−1 rFXIII maintained plasma FXIII levels above 0.1 IU mL−1 over a 30‐day period in young children with congenital FXIII deficiency, and is, therefore, likely to provide adequate prophylaxis in this age group.

Interim results from a large multinational extension trial (guardian(™) 2) using turoctocog alfa for prophylaxis and treatment of bleeding in patients with severe haemophilia A.
Steven R. Lentz,M. Cerqueira,Dragana Janic,Christine L. Kempton,Irina Matytsina,Mudi Misgav,Johannes Oldenburg,Margareth C. Ozelo,Michael Recht,Anders Rosholm,A. Savic,T. Suzuki,Andreas Tiede,Elena Santagostino +13 more
TL;DR: A large number of the patients with Hemophilia A and B had a history of atypical milk thrombosis and the once-in-a-lifetime donation procedure was found to be a viable treatment option for these patients.

New Data on the Safety and Efficacy of Recombinant FXIII in Patients with Congenital FXIII A-Subunit Deficiency
Katsuyuki Fukutake,Manual Carcao,Aida Inbal,Bryce A. Kerlin,Johannes Oldenburg,Anders Rosholm,May-Lill Garly,Diane J. Nugent +7 more
TL;DR: The PK profile was independent of age, supporting that monthly dosing with a fixed 35 IU/Kg rFXIII regimen for all patients with FXIII A-subunit deficiency was adequate for prophylaxis, and a phase 3b safety extension program was offered to bridge to product availability.
