Thermoreversible polymers adsorbed to colloidal silica : a 1H NMR and DSC study of the phase transition in confined geometry
TL;DR: The phase transition of the thermoreversible polymer PNIPAM, which shows a coil-to-globule transition due to the lower critical solution temperature (LCST) behavior in aqueous solution, is investigated in the restricted geometry of an adsorption layer as discussed by the authors.

1H NMR of thermoreversible polymers in solution and at interfaces: the influence of charged groups on the phase transition
TL;DR: The phase transition of thermoreversible polymers occurring at the lower critical solution temperature (LCST) was investigated by 1H NMR in this paper, which showed that the conformation of the polymer coils is maintained with increasing temperature until close to the phase transition, apart from a minor decrease of the hydrodynamic radius at about 2°C below the LCST.

Dynamics in polymer layers investigated by NMR techniques
TL;DR: In this paper, the phase transition of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) is investigated in the restricted geometry of an adsorption layer, and furthermore under the influence of charges in a statistical copolymer.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors address the question of whether charged groups in the polymer are affecting the phase transition, and study their influence in solution and at the interface of the poly-N-isopropylacrylamide.
